MEET OUR DOCTORS
Dustin Honeyman, OD
Dr. Dustin Honeyman is a Kansas native who grew up in Lawrence and earned his bachelor's degree in Human Biology from the University of Kansas before receiving his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2010.
Dr. Dustin is passionate about providing exceptional eye care for patients of all ages, with special clinical interests in primary care, pediatric optometry, and specialty contact lenses. His pediatric expertise was strengthened through advanced clinical training at the Children's Mercy Hospital Ophthalmology Department, where he gained extensive experience caring for children with a wide range of ocular conditions. He is also certified in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease.
As the founder of Highpoint Family Vision's Specialty Contact Lens Service, Dr. Dustin specializes in fitting custom scleral and specialty contact lenses for patients with keratoconus, irregular corneas, severe dry eye, post-surgical corneas, and other complex ocular conditions. His commitment to combining advanced technology with individualized care has helped countless patients achieve comfortable vision when traditional contact lenses were no longer an option.
Beyond the exam room, Dr. Dustin has a heart for service. Through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH International), he has participated in multiple international mission trips providing vision care to underserved communities. Together, Drs. Dustin and Kinsey Honeyman have served patients in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Belize, Mexico, and Belarus, helping improve lives through access to quality eye care.
When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Dustin enjoys playing volleyball, scuba diving, traveling, and tabletop games with family and friends. Above all, he treasures spending time with his wife, Dr. Kinsey Honeyman, and their two children.
Kinsey Honeyman, OD
Dr. Kinsey Honeyman is dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate eye care for patients of all ages while building lasting relationships with the families she serves. Originally from Northern Illinois, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois, graduating as a James Scholar. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2010.
Dr. Kinsey is passionate about helping patients achieve lifelong healthy vision through comprehensive eye care, with special clinical interests in pediatric eye care, myopia management, and primary care optometry. She is certified in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease and remains committed to incorporating the latest evidence-based treatments into her practice.
As Highpoint Family Vision's leader in myopia management, Dr. Kinsey is dedicated to helping slow the progression of childhood nearsightedness before it leads to more serious vision problems later in life. She develops personalized treatment plans using advanced myopia control options, including specialty contact lenses, myopia management spectacle lenses, and low-dose atropine therapy to protect children's vision and support lifelong eye health.
Her passion for serving others reaches well beyond the office. Through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH International), she has participated in numerous medical mission trips, providing eye care to underserved communities around the world. Together, Drs. Kinsey and Dustin Honeyman have served patients in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Belize, Mexico, and Belarus, helping restore vision and improve quality of life through volunteer outreach.
Outside the practice, Dr. Kinsey enjoys giving back to her local community as an active member of both the Shawnee Rotary Club and the Shawnee Lions Club. She also serves in leadership roles within her local elementary school PTA, reflecting her passion for supporting children and families both inside and outside the exam room. When she's not caring for patients or volunteering, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and making memories with her husband, Dr. Dustin Honeyman, and their two children.

Duy Nguyen, OD
Dr. Duy Nguyen was born in Vietnam and moved to Kansas City with her family as a child. She is fluent in both English and Vietnamese, allowing her to provide compassionate, personalized care to a diverse patient population.
Dr. Duy’s journey with Highpoint Family Vision began long before earning her Doctorate of Optometry. While pursuing her education, she joined the practice as an ophthalmic technician, where she developed a passion for building meaningful relationships with patients and providing exceptional care. Having grown alongside our team, she understands the personalized, family-centered approach that is integral to Highpoint Family Vision.
Dr. Duy earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, graduating Summa Cum Laude, then received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Optometry. She graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa Honors, recognizing her outstanding academic achievement and dedication to excellence in optometric education.
Dedicated to lifelong learning and mentorship, she served as a teaching assistant for clinical optometry courses throughout optometry school and received the UMSL Academic Mentoring Award honoring her commitment to supporting and inspiring fellow students. She continues to enjoy mentoring future optometrists and welcomes students interested in shadowing, learning about the profession, or exploring a career in eye care.
Dr. Duy brings extensive clinical training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease to Highpoint Family Vision, with special interests in glaucoma, dry eye disease, and comprehensive medical eye care. She is passionate about combining the latest advancements in optometry with compassionate, individualized care to help each patient achieve their best possible vision and maintain lifelong eye health.
Outside the office, Dr. Duy enjoys playing tennis, discovering new restaurants, and listening to music. She is excited to continue her journey with the Highpoint Family Vision team and looks forward to caring for the families and community that have already become such an important part of her story.
