MEET OUR DOCTORS
Dustin Honeyman, OD
Dr. Dustin Honeyman is originally from Lawrence, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a degree in Human Biology in 2005. He then studied at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 2010.
Dr. Honeyman’s clinical interests are primary care and pediatric optometry. His pediatric expertise was strengthened with an externship at Children’s Mercy Hospital Ophthalmology Department during his clinical rotations. Additionally, he is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Honeyman is also active in SVOSH (Student Volunteers in Optometric Services to Humanity). As a couple Kinsey and Dustin have helped the under-served communities of the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Belize, Mexico, and Belarus.
In his free time, he enjoys playing competitive volleyball, including; indoor, grass, sand, and co-ed. He also enjoys traveling and scuba diving. But above all else, he loves to spend time with his daughter Adley and son Callan.
Kinsey Honeyman, OD
Dr. Kinsey Honeyman is originally from Northern Illinois. She attended the University of Illinois and graduated as a James Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2006. She then studied at Southern College of Optometry and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2010.
Dr. Honeyman's clinical interests are primary care and pediatric optometry. Additionally, she is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Dr. Honeyman is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kansas Optometric Association, and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City. She has also been active with VOSH International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) providing underprivileged communities with free eyecare through medical mission trips around the world.
Her favorite things in the world are her kids, Adley and Callan. She enjoys volunteering in the community as a member of the Shawnee Rotary Club and Shawnee Lions Club. She also loves traveling and scuba diving.
